ACCURACY OF PRESSURE DROP AND LIFT ESTIMATES
Pressure drop and check valve lift estimates are best estimate values, based on
standard pressure drop equations of the Instrument Society of America (ISA),
flow rate and fluid data provided by the customer, and valve flow coefficients
provided by Flowserve-Edward.
Check valve lift estimates assume installation in horizontal piping with the
bonnet or cover oriented vertically upward. See Flowserve-Edward Catalog

Flow and check valve lift coefficients for Flowserve-Edward Valves are based on
results of laboratory testing. Valves of each specific type are tested, and
results are extended to sizes not tested using model theory. Uncertainties
prevent a guarantee with regards to valve pressure drop and lift performance.
However, estimates are expected to be accurate within +/- 15%, with most within
+/- 10%.
Flow Noise calculations are highly approximate.
